There is not much to say about the Holden Monaro, we bought her from a guy
who was going to restore her, then ran out of time and space. Interior is
in good condition, although she is missing a front windscreen. The motor was already out of the car, which created quite a hassle when we had to transport her, but we managed it, and the spare motor [definitely seized] which the guy threw in for free. The exterior of the car is a bit rusty, mostly surface rust, so it is going to take more elbow grease than actual rebuilding. Original colour was red with black stripes, a bit of the colour is still showing through the surface rust. Potentially a great looking car, as soon as we finish the project. She was supposed to be a project car for my son's, but that didn't quite work out. |

| The HT Holden Monaro's were sent to SA from Australia in CKD form and assembled at the GM plant in PE from 1969 to 1971, in March 1971 they were replaced by the Chevrolet SS which was based on the HG model with minor changes and were built locally at the GM plant in Port Elizabeth. The Chevrolet SS model was discontinued in 1973. | ||
